Researchers from the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources are ready to share their results of research from corn to cattle during annual field days. The days start this month and run through September.
Field days are an opportunity for farmers and ranchers to interact with MU faculty, staff and graduate students. MU’s agricultural research centers will open their doors and fields for farmers to get close to some of the new research projects and new technologies in agriculture.
Here are the top 10 field days and MU events you won’t want to miss:
1. Mizzou Pest Management Field Day. This is a guided wagon-stop tour, where scientists will talk about cover crops, the latest dicamba research and weed control, just to name a few topics. It starts at 8 a.m. July 10 at Bradford Research Center, 4968 Rangeline Road, Columbia, Mo.
2. Crop and Soil Management Workshop. Do you want to dive deeper into weed identification, herbicide application or pest management? This is not a field day, but rather an all-day workshop starting at 7 a.m. July 12 that costs $75 for participants. It’s at Bradford Research Center, 4968 Rangeline Road, Columbia, Mo.
