Policy, trade, and taxes can impact your farm, but having the right insight can help you make targeted decisions for the future. And these are hot topics at the upcoming Farm Futures Business Summit in Iowa City, Iowa June 16 and 17. In this special edition of the Around Farm Progress Podcast, Mike Wilson, editor, Farm Futures, chats with three speakers for the upcoming event.

He starts with Jacqui Fatka, policy editor for Farm Progress, who shares some thoughts on bipartisanship, and key issues in focus in Washington. She'll be speaking at the summit but check out her insights.

Wilson then talks with Gregg Doud, who was the chief ag negotiator in the U.S. Trade Representative office during the Trump Administration. He was involved in the Phase One talks with China, and he shares some interesting insights as a preview to his full presentation at the summit.

And Wilson wraps up talking with Roger McEowen, an ag law professor at Washburn University, who is a farm tax expert. McEowen previews his talk for the summit, and at a time when many new tax ideas are floating in Washington, information from his talk has value to every farmer.

The Farm Futures Business Summit runs June 16 to June 17. It is preceded by the Ag Finance Boot Camp on June 15. You can learn more at FarmFuturesSummit.com. Note, that during the podcast you can also hear about a special discount offer.
