Shining a spotlight on sprayer application tools

We’re digging through a pile of new products from the fall farm shows. We gave you a taste of some of what we saw with our glimpse at the 2013 Farm Progress Show and a short roundup of products from 2013 Husker Harvest Days, which you can check out. This time around our farm equipment spotlight shines on crop application equipment.

Applying crop protection products has never been more important and more growers are taking on application themselves. If you're looking to beef up your spraying equipment as part of your farm equipment inventory, this gallery offers you a range of choices and ideas. We've combed the exhibit field at the fall farm shows and this is what our team from Penton/Farm Progress is highlighting for spray technology.

The rise of resistant weeds, the need for timely application, and changing farming practices - including later-season fertilizer applications - are all part of a trend that has farmers buying more sprayers and spray technology than ever before. New crop protection products coming to the market in the near future will also require your spray equipment to be more precise and better tuned than ever before.

Check out these products, which range from sprayers to optional add-ons to enhance spraying. If you're looking for new equipment, browse the gallery to find the latest sprayers. If you're looking to make your sprayer better, you'll find products for that here too. Having a top-performing sprayer in your inventory for next year - whether new or enhanced - makes sense for that coming battle with weeds and insect pests.
