Stacker bar
A NEW 1925 Stacker Bar from Orthman Manufacturing is semi-mounted with rear lift wheels. The stack-style toolbar for 24 rows, 30-in. widths features a 10-ft. hitch with a tongue that handles a 500-gal.-liquid tank. According to Orthman, the advantage of the new 1925 model is that its length in transport is the same as its field-position length. Another advantage is that, in planter applications, the seed boxes remain upright through the folding process so the boxes do not need to be emptied before transport.
Suggested retail price for the model in the photo is around $65,000. Contact Orthman Mfg. Inc., Dept. FIN, 75765 Rd. 435, Lexington, NE 68850, 308/324-7555, visit www.orthman.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 101.

Round bale unroller
IT TOOK Georgia hay farmer Whipple Simpson six years to develop and patent his “T”s E-Z Unroller. But now he's shipping the device to as far away as Australia. The E-Z Unroller will convert round bales of any type straw or hay into convenient square bales. Growers who have many acres of wheat and hay can use large round balers to save time at harvest, and then later, when more time is available, they can use the E-Z Unroller to convert the round bales to square bales.
The system is hydraulically driven, is operated by a tractor or optional power unit, and requires three people to operate. It takes about 6 min. to unroll a 4- × 6-ft. bale. The unroller is reversible and can be raised and lowered as needed. Price of the E-Z Unroller starts at $24,500. The model shown can handle up to 100,000 bales a year. Larger models will handle up to 500,000 bales a year.
Simpson also developed the “T”s E-Z Big Separator that separates big square bales and rebales them into smaller rectangular bales. The separator may be powered by a tractor or optional power unit. It retails for $21,000.

Grain grinder for feed
HAYBUSTER INTRODUCES a new grain processor without a tub grinder. The new GP-50 grain processor is a high-capacity grain grinder that may be fitted with different screens for different size feed products. For example, dairy operations may use it to grind high-moisture corn into flour, which has been shown to increase milk production. Cattle feeders also may use the grinder to process feed directly into bunkers.
The GP-50 unit uses hammermill technology to produce a fine grind. It requires 200 to 300 hp for operation. A 50-in. hammermill is fitted with triple hammers that are placed in a spiral V pattern for increased grinding capacity. A 14-in. belly auger removes the ground product from under the hammermill.
