Sneak peek at a new Ford F-150?
This Ford Atlas prototype isn't an exact look at what Ford may introduce as early as the Texas State Fair in September, but it could be close. The Atlas prototype offers a more aggressive design, and clean new lines that hint at what the final product may reveal (the truck could debut in early 2014 at the North American Auto Show in Detroit too). The key with a prototype is to look at potential real world features that might survive into manufacturing. There's a lot of LED lighting on this pickup, and for efficiency it's using active grill shutters for better aerodynamics. The prototype also has a next-generation EcoBoost engine with Auto Start-Stop that's optimized for trucks. It's tech that can save fuel use.
