Farm Progress has editors stationed around the country reporting on local and national issues impacting farmers. Adding to that team of journalists isn’t easy, since not everyone wants to write about agriculture, but recently two new writers have joined the company to cover agriculture, and readers can learn more about them in this episode.

First up is Betty Haynes, who has joined the Prairie Farmer team. She lives on a farm and in her first week on the job literally jumped right in, which she explains. Readers are already seeing her byline on the website and in the magazine. Listen to her conversation in the podcast to learn more.

Then we turn to Whitney Haigwood, based in Arkansas, she’ll be covering agriculture for the Mississippi Delta in Delta Farm Press. After working in Extension communications, she’s bringing her skills to the task of helping readers maximize their work on the farm. Her family farms across two counties in the state, which she explains on the podcast.

Around Farm Progress covers agriculture with industry experts but we also want readers to know who is covering agriculture for them. Listening to the podcast offers that opportunity. Give it a listen.
