One of the biggest, most expensive priorities of the Governor's 50 Year Vision for the Future of Water in Kansas has been addressed with the ongoing dredging of the John Redmond Reservoir in eastern Kansas to restore additional water storage capacity.

The dredging began in June and is the first in the country to be conducted by a state rather than the Army Corps of Engineers.
