Mike Pearson talks about the big news out of the ports. The labor strike was averted, and Pearson gets the details.

Don Close, senior protein analyst with Terrain, talks with Pearson about the beef markets and if the herds will rebuild in 2025.

Close details how the agriculture will know if beef producers are retaining heifers.

Trade was only on in session four days this with the National Day of Mourning held on Thursday for Former President Jimmy Carter.

Derrell Peel, Oklahoma State University, talks about the cattle market and whether the cattle prices will go up or down. They are sitting at the highest prices this month.

He also talks a look at feeder cattle and beef-dairy crosses and how they impact the markets.

Greg Soulje is in with a weather forecast for the week.

Ryan Baker, of Eurofins, talks about the laboratory and the services the business provides for the dairy industry. He also talks about the sister labs and the services they provide for producers including the bacteria, pesticide residue, wheat pathogen examinations.

Walt Duflock, of Western Growers, was at the Organic Growers Summit and talks about automation and how the investment can be worth while for example in weeding by hand versus weeding by lazer. He tells producers knowing the numbers is key.

Soybean oil values have been declining. But as the industry looks forward. Pearson talks with Kyle Durham, a farmer and member of the United Soybean Board, about the high oleic soybeans. The number of industrial uses have been expanded and healthier because of the oleic value. It's also being worked into the feed rations for dairy cattle rations which has proved to be a higher milk fat average.

Greg is back with an extended weather outlook.

Pearson talks with Missouri Editor Mindy Ward. They talk about the cold weather, sleet and snow. The duo talks about what 2025 could have including some issues for farmers out of the EPA.

There's a 1970 Massey Ferguson 1080 in Max's Tractor Shed. Dave Bockhold, out of Peyson, Illinois, brags about how little fuel it takes to get jobs done at the farm.

Mark Stock shares the lineup for BigIron Auctions.

The FFA tribute this week goes to Daniel Hartzell, the Ohio State Reporter.

In the ag tech segment, Chad Colby takes a look at what is changing on farms including tractors that are autonomous. He talks with Craig Rupp, of Sabanto, who started the conversation about Sabanto in 2019 and how technology has improved.
