If you practice strip till today, you’re no longer a pioneer on your own. Enough other growers across the country are also strip tilling so that machinery companies are turning out new products and improving existing products just for strip-tilling. Farm Progress editors uncovered several of those products at recent farm shows.

Zimmerman has updated the machine it offers for strip tilling and has also added new cart options for those who want to apply fertilizer while strip tilling. To apply necessary amounts of fertilizer — especially dry, granular fertilizer — it takes a cart or buggy capable of following efficiently with adequate capacity.

Meanwhile, Aguru, a relatively new name in the machinery business, introduced its first-ever row cleaner specifically for its’ strip-till units. Plus, Aguru also introduced the company’s first strip-till rig specifically designed for narrow transport on roadways between fields.

Lynx introduced the Dynasty 24-row strip-till unit which features dry fertilizer application. Spokespersons say it’s unique because you can deliver up to 700 pounds per acre of product at 7 miles per hour. Today, you can apply two different products at the same time and vary rates. The company intends to introduce a machine with the ability to apply four different products at once on the go very soon.

Use the contact information provided with each new product in this lineup to learn more about the strip-till products which interest you the most.
