Polaris has launched the General side-by-side utility vehicle. The company says the General is designed to "battle it all" whether dominating the trail or conquering any job. The machine has a 100 hp ProStar 1000 engine offering the most power and torque. The engine allows acceleration from 0 to 40 in 3.6 seconds, according to the company.

The machine can haul 1,100 pounds and has a 600-pound dump box to get the job done. One feature that will stand out to operators is the completely new cabin which offers a near-automotive design with factory installed half-doors, extra protection from debris and easy in-and-out, work-friendly design. There are two bolstered bucket seats, and there's thin-film tech under the seat cover to provide a dry ride in wet conditions. You can also customize the instrumentation cluster that tilts with the steering wheel and includes digital and analog gauges.

You'll also find plenty of in-cab storage for your essentials when out and about. In the cab alone, the company says there is 23 liters of integrated storage with a combination of enclosed and in-dash storage - that's very roomy. The center console is not only an arm rest it also has a 12v outlet and two cup holders. And sealed floor seams and equipment pass-throughs keep occupants cleaner. Dual removable floor drains allow for easier cleanout of the cabin, which both farmers and hunters will appreciate after working in tough weather conditions.

The machine features an 81-inch wheel base and performance-oriented suspension. Front dual-A arm suspension has 12.25 inches of suspension travel and 13.2 inches of rear travel. Standard front and rear sway bars keep the ride level.

Every user will be able to customize this machine very specifically for their farm's use. The cab frame features profile tubing providing a 360-degree sealing surface that accepts the revolutionary Polaris Pro-Fit Lock & Ride Technology providing the best in class cab comfort. Windshields, roofs, doors and rear panels follow the shape of the vehicle, locking directly into the cab frame’s precision contours. The vehicle also accepts the Glacier Plow Systems, a full line of protection, several LED lighting options and Lock & Ride storage Accessories to quickly and easily add or change as needed for the trail or job. For ultimate class-leading cab comfort, a heater kit and windshield wiper kit provide additional all-weather options.
