The Pioneer commercial team from northern Ohio has done its part to make a difference in an unprecedented year.

The team and several independent Pioneer sales representatives and customers have collectively donated more than $16,550 to local food banks and their community. Recipients include Mohican Church of the Brethren, Ohio Association of Foodbanks, Otsego Local Schools and West Ohio Food Bank.

“We are so grateful to Corteva Agriscience and its employees for giving so generously to support our crisis response in this time of extraordinary need,” says Joree Novotny, director of external affairs for the Ohio Association of Foodbanks.

“The current public health and economic crises have humbled all of us and worsened rates of food insecurity for far too many Ohioans. But collaborators like Corteva Agriscience inspire us with their support and spirit. We normally can leverage about four meals for every $1 donated, so this donation of just over $7,000 represents about 28,200 meals for Ohioans in need.”

“We’re proud to work alongside farmers each day,” says Matt Miller, Pioneer district sales lead for northern Ohio, “and giving back to our community through our food banks is just one way to support each other.”
