The Minnesota Organic Advisory Task Force was reauthorized during the 2016 legislative session, opening up all 15 positions for appointment.

The OATF advises the Minnesota Department of Agriculture commissioner and the University of Minnesota about policies and programs that impact organic agriculture in the state.

The task force must meet at least twice per year. Members serve three-year terms.

MDA commissioner Dave Frederickson said that task force members are needed who will speak up about ways that MDA and the U-M can help Minnesota’s organic sector continue to grow and thrive.
