In Missouri agriculture, we've been challenged time and time again with the responsibility of opening the farm gate and letting consumers in. From that challenge, the My Farm, My Story video series was born. Throughout 2015, nearly 60 Missouri farmers have welcomed a video team from the Missouri Department of Agriculture onto their farms to share the story of their livelihood.

SHOW-ME AGRICULTURE: Missouri farmers tell their story in new ag department video series.
Our staff has traveled thousands of miles all across the state (as shown on the map on this page) to borrow precious time from the men and women who grow and raise Missouri's agriculture products. These producers graciously welcomed the Department of Agriculture into their homes and lives to capture their farm stories and share their memories.
Our newly launched video series will showcase the extraordinary stories we captured on camera during these visits. Starting at the beginning of January, we will unveil a new My Farm, My Story video interview each week throughout the year. Our video interviews display the passion, emotion and dedication demonstrated by our farm families every single day.
From learning about the ins and outs of their operation to hearing what they think makes Missouri agriculture the best, the footage epitomizes what it means to be stewards of the land and providers of food. Touching stories of fond memories on the farm, insightful thoughts on the future of agriculture, incredible technological advancements being implemented, impactful farm safety lessons, humorous recollections of farm life and inspirational stories of those who have passed down the tradition of greatness—all of this and more is showcased in our video series.

If you've ever wondered where our farmers' loyalty lies when it comes to color of tractor, breed of cattle, MLB team fandom, mobile device affinity and type of headwear, you are in luck. Our interviews cover the fun-natured side of things as well.
We encourage you to tune in and learn more about Missouri's greatest commodity, Missouri's farm families, as we roll out the My Farm, My Story videos. The best way to catch each video is to like our Facebook page Facebook.com/MOAgriculture, where we will post the videos each week. They will also be available on YouTube YouTube.com/MOAgriculture. We look forward to sharing stories with you, and hope you'll consider sharing your own by using the #MyFarmMyStory hashtag.
