Mike Pearson takes a look at data released last week that shows the USA could be headed for a recession.
The Data released showed a slow down in hiring.
It marks one of the slowest job growth periods since the pandemic.
The unemployment rate reaches 4.3 percent the highest level in 3 years.
Given the slowdown in job growth and the increase in unemployment signals the Federal Reserve may be cutting interest rates. Some have indicated a half percent cut at their next meeting.
The job report shows some troubling signs. The decline in the index means a lower amount of industries are adding jobs.
And agriculture is not exempt. Kinze announced last week they are laying off 200 people in Iowa.
