Nearly 200 community members, business leaders and elected officials are expected to gather Dec. 13 at the Fairfield County Workforce Center in Carroll, Ohio, for the Annual Economic Update.
The event, which will begin with registration and breakfast at 8:30 a.m., is an opportunity for stakeholders and community members to hear about the accomplishments and growth in the county throughout the past year, and to discuss and prepare for the inevitable changes to come.
Attendees will hear from Jason Jolley, associate vice president for research partnerships at Ohio University and professor of rural economic development. Jolley will explore key insights into the county's economic growth, shifting demographics, and their impact on jobs, housing and community development.
“Together with the Pickerington, Canal Winchester and Lancaster Fairfield chambers of commerce, we look forward to bringing the community up to speed with the latest economic developments in the region,” says Rick Szabrak, Fairfield County economic and workforce development director. “We also benefit, in turn, by having amazing thought leaders and business pioneers come together for a morning of networking and development.”
The event, located at 4465 Coonpath Road NW in Carroll, is open to the public. For more information, call 740-652-7162.
