Today, July 15, is the last day for growers to report spring-seeded crops and Conservation Reserve Program acreage. This includes corn, soybeans, hay and most vegetable crops, among others.

Farm Service Agency staff is available to work with producers and provide assistance over the phone or email on filing crop acreage reports. When growers call, remember to immediately report any updates to the operation structure, rented or purchased farms, wetland compliance, or any other pertinent changes. Provide any new leases or changes in ownership (deeds) before dropping off maps and reporting crops.

If maps are completed and submitted to FSA, growers will still need to sign the Report of Acreage form (FSA-578) before the deadline. Producers must return the signed forms, certifying their acreage report, to the FSA office through mail or email by July 15.

Avoid the $46 late file fee per farm and call your local Farm Service Agency. To verify your acreage reports are complete, contact your local office
