The crop progress report shows the corn and soybean crops are holding steady.

Soybean condition

The crop progress report shows 68% of the soybean crop is in good/excellent condition, that did not move from last week’s report.

This week, here are the good/excellent conditions in the top five soybean producing states: Illinois (80%), Iowa (74%), Minnesota (72%), Nebraska (80%), North Dakota (53%).

Corn condition

The report shows 69% of the corn crop is in good/excellent condition this week, that did not change from last week.

Here are the good/excellent conditions in the top five corn producing states: Iowa (75%), Illinois (80%), Nebraska (83%), Minnesota (78%), Kansas (47%).

Corn mature

The report shows 86% of the corn planted this spring is mature. That’s up from the four-year average of 71%.

Corn harvested

The corn harvest is running faster than the four-year average. The report shows 26% of the corn planted has been harvested, that’s up from the four-year average of 17%.

Soybean dropping leaves

Producers and crop watchers report 83% of the soybean crop is dropping leaves. That’s up from the four-year average of 75%.

Soybeans harvested

The latest crop progress report out shows combines are moving with 23% of the crop harvested. That’s up from the four-year average of 20%.
