Compeer Financial is hosting a series of women’s seminars in April with locations across the organization’s Minnesota territory.
Women interested in learning more about the business side of farming, marketing and leadership will have the opportunity to hear from experts and network with other local women in agriculture.
The free one-day seminars will address a variety of topics women in agriculture face today from speakers Laura Daniels, Phil Gwoke, Rochelle Ripp Schnadt, Matt Rush, Carolyn Sheridan and Scott Zimmer.
Subjects will include:
Working with multiple generations. Addressing common clashes and finding how best to communicate and collaborate across generational lines.
Stress management. Developing skills in identifying chronic stress, learning to assist yourself and others in handling stress and obtaining resources and tools for seeking help and professional advice.
Living with passion and purpose. Identifying strengths and beginning to develop goals around your passions, reminding yourself that change isn’t all bad.
Rebecca Binsfeld, Compeer client education consultant, says the seminars offer women the opportunity to become their best selves at home and on the farm.
“We want attendees to leave these events with an expanded network of women in agriculture, feeling empowered and ready to take action,” Binsfeld said in a news release.
Seminars in Spring Valley, Worthington and St. Cloud begin at 8:30 a.m., with closing remarks at 1:45 p.m. The seminar in Mankato begins at 4 p.m. with closing remarks at 8:30 p.m. and social time to follow.
