The Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation’s Promotion & Education Committee is reminding farmers this week about safety and health in agricultural and rural communities.

The theme for the 2016 Agricultural Safety Awareness Program Week is “Caution—Safety is No Accident.”

During this week and throughout the year, Farm Bureau is encouraging farmers to emphasize a different aspect of safety each day:

•Monday: ATV Safety
•Tuesday: Youth Safety on the Farm
•Wednesday: Tractor Safety
•Thursday: Roadway Safety
•Friday: Grain Bin Safety

Of interest to smart phone users, check out the aps.

Most of these aps are free, including a vehicle rollover prevention app for motorized vehicles that sends emergency notifications to preselected contacts when a vehicle becomes unstable.
