California rural appraisers will meet in Modesto, Calif. in late March for their annual Outlook Conference. This is where the organization’s respected “Trends Report” on agricultural land values is released.
The event takes place March 27-30 at the DoubleTree Hotel. The conference includes educational classes, a student reception, an ag tour, and a full day of program sessions on issues affecting California agriculture.
This year’s ag tour will include stops at Turlock Irrigation District, Hilmar Cheese Company, Zaiger Genetics, and Sciabica Olive Oil. The evening after the tour features a social, barbecue food, and an auction to raise money for scholarships.
Programs on the last day will feature an economic outlook for California agribusiness, investor perspectives, an update on water and SGMA, and commodity updates for pistachios, almonds, and the canning tomato industry.
The Outlook 2023 Agribusiness Conference is open to the public and preregistration is requested by March 16th. Information for the conference is available online. Questions may be directed to the California Chapter, ASFMRA Office at (209) 368-3672 or to [email protected].
