Release of the annual Trends Report by the California Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers will cap the organization’s upcoming annual Outlook Agribusiness Conference in Modesto, Calif., March 27-30.Todd Fitchette

California rural appraisers will meet in Modesto, Calif. in late March for their annual Outlook Conference. This is where the organization’s respected “Trends Report” on agricultural land values is released.

The event takes place March 27-30 at the DoubleTree Hotel. The conference includes educational classes, a student reception, an ag tour, and a full day of program sessions on issues affecting California agriculture.

This year’s ag tour will include stops at Turlock Irrigation District, Hilmar Cheese Company, Zaiger Genetics, and Sciabica Olive Oil. The evening after the tour features a social, barbecue food, and an auction to raise money for scholarships.

Programs on the last day will feature an economic outlook for California agribusiness, investor perspectives, an update on water and SGMA, and commodity updates for pistachios, almonds, and the canning tomato industry.
