Arkansas Secretary of Agriculture Wes Ward was elected vice-president of the Southern Association of State Departments of Agriculture (SASDA) for 2019-20 at its annual conference held recently in Fort Worth, Texas.
“It’s a great honor to be elected as vice-president of SASDA,” says Ward. “I am proud to represent Arkansas within the organization and look forward to helping lead the 17 Southern states and territories in promoting Southern agriculture at the federal level.”
SASDA is made up of the commissioners, secretaries and directors of agriculture from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Ward will host SASDA’s annual conference in Arkansas in 2021.
