Daniel Robinson, a 63-year-old native of Coosa County who led Alabama’s Farm Service Agency from 1998 to 2001, has been appointed to serve in that position again, according to a statement from the office of U.S. Rep. Parker Griffith.
“With more than 45,000 farms covering 8.7 million acres, Alabama farms are a vital component of our region’s economy,” Griffith said. “It is integral to the stability and growth of Alabama farms that the right person was chosen for this job. I applaud the appointment of Daniel Robinson as the new executive director of the Alabama Farm Service Agency.”
Robinson, who currently serves as assistant marketing director at the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries, led the FSA under former President Bill Clinton.
