As a field crops Extension agents with the North Carolina  Cooperative Extension, one of the busiest times of the year is the winter months, especially January and February. 

Agents are conducting educational programs that address needs that growers as well as other members of the ag community have indicated are important for equipping them for the upcoming year.  This could be topics such as the latest management practices that help to ensure maximum profitable yields, control of various pests as well as how to manage resistance of pests, marketing, etc.
