Competition for your farm tire business remains intense. Several companies introduced tires for various uses and in various price ranges within the past few months. Some of the introductions were made at farm shows, where farmers could easily see how the new tires might fit into their operations.

Some companies, such as Firestone, introduced whole new lines of tires. The EVO Series of farm tires is geared to be an economic good choice in several sizes of tires. Others introduced specific tires with specific uses in mind.

If you need a big rear tractor tire, or a front tire for a front-wheel assist tractor, your combine or your sprayer, odds are you can find it among the new series of tires released recently. As equipment grows larger, such as combines and grain carts, tires specifically designed for those uses to carry that type of weight and load often come along with introduction of the implement.

Different row spacings also spur companies to consider offering varying widths of tires that will work well in those fields. Some companies manufacture certain tires specifically for self-propelled sprayers — which often need narrow tires with a minimal footprint — and for fertilizer application equipment.

Check out all the new tires editors found at recent farm shows.
