The T. G. Schmeiser Company has acquired the Smart-Till product line from HCC, Inc.. The purchase includes the assets and trade names associated with the Smart-Till product line and its associated parts and components.

Over the next weeks, all manufacturing and administration operations will be shifted from Illinois to the newly constructed Schmeiser manufacturing facility in Selma, Calif.

Smart-Till’s unique design allows it to fracture the soil more than eight inches deep with minimal surface disturbance. Its effectiveness comes from two phases of tine action – entry or soil displacement, and fracture when force is applied.

The process creates improved air and water exchange and offers many benefits for different applications, including vertical tillage and aerating the soil.

In the future, the Smart-Till product line could offer water conservation benefits.
