Efficiency is the name of the game if you are farming today. Companies you have counted on to bring you dependable, versatile products are at it again, introducing new products that make handling and spreading fertilizer, and even certain seeds, more accurate and more convenient.

For example, Unverferth Manufacturing introduces the Pro-Force 50 spreader. The company acquired the basic technology to turn out this type of product when it acquired Blu-Jet in 2019. The Pro-Force 50 spreader is rugged, heavy-built and comes in different sizes to fit your needs. Spokespersons assure anyone interested in accuracy that this spinner spreader can spread a 90-foot swath accurately.

If you’re looking for versatility, Montag offers the Montag 2108 spreader, designed to spread either fertilizer or cover crop seeds. There is growing demand for units that can spread cover crop seed, sometimes with fertilizer, where growers want to work it in with a light application. Companies are responding to that need.

Salford and Case IH worked together to develop a 72-foot, stainless steel air boom that comes on a Case IH Titan 4540 self-propelled rig, ready to roll. Salford spokespersons says the new 72-foot air boom is based on technology originally developed by Valmar, which was a leader in the industry. It also features very accurate delivery of any product in the field.

The new Case IH Titan 4540 rig is available now. Case IH intends to offer the 72-foot air boom on the Titan 3540 model in July.
