What’s New From the Shows: Here are new rotary mowers and lawn mowers you may want to consider.

If you have barn lots, roadsides, grass waterways or Conservation Reserve Program land to maintain, new product offerings from recent farm shows are worth giving careful consideration. If it has a blade and cuts grass and is new to the market, you might find it here.

Three new lawn mowers ready for tough duty showed up at farm shows. Each has features that should appeal to anyone with lots of weekly mowing chores to do around the farm and home. Self-propelled lawn mowers continue to become more powerful and sophisticated. Ease of operation and safety are considerations that companies are building into their products.

If you’re looking for a bigger cutter to power with a tractor and do tough mowing jobs around the farm, two major players in rotary cutters introduced new models this year. Check out the new rotary cutter from Bush Hog, whose products have set standards in this category for years.

John Deere completely updated and upgraded its rotary mower offerings with three new series of rotary mowers. The E Series will appeal to those with mowing to do but who also keep an eye on price vs. value. Deere’s M Series is the midpoint price model in the lineup. The R Series completes the lineup, offering performance for tough jobs and state-of-the-art features for rotary mowers.
