FLEX HEADER

The 45-ft. FD70 FlexDraper is new from MacDon. With a three-section flex frame, the header offers balanced floating action plus comparable flex range to competitive-sized flex auger heads.

The flexing action allows the header to maintain a consistent close relationship between the knife and reel. Because of the flex draper, the threshing mechanism operates more efficiently, allowing an increase in ground speed.

The float system employs coil springs for lateral and vertical flotation over rolling and uneven terrain. The auto header height control system allows the header to automatically adjust flotation to ground conditions.

Available for most current model combines in classes 6-9, the FlexDraper is also available in 30-, 35- and 40-ft. lengths.

GRAIN VACUUM

The GrainVac 5200 EX is new from Brandt Agricultural Products.

Capable of 5,800 bu./hour of corn out of a full bin with 3½ ft. of hose, it offers up to 46% greater capacity than competitive models when using over 20 ft. of hose.

A new double-blade design provides twice the fan life of previous models. The discharge auger has chrome-plated flighting and extends the life of the vacuum. Other chrome offerings include optional bolt-on flight wear strips and high-wear replaceable drive dogs. Also replaceable is the wear strip in the fan housing.

The 5200 EX features an all-steel exhaust system and greasable hanger bearings, along with a mounted grease bank for easy access to service all bottom bearings.
