Robert Precht, chief of Omega Plantation’s dirt operations in Clarksdale, Miss., hits the fields of Coahoma County each day, shaping and shifting some of the richest soil in America. Precht is a maverick and a man of contrasts. He works the flats, but thrives in the sky. He works alone in a tractor box, but doesn't have a solitary bone in his body. Without question, Precht has dirt in his blood and he's proud of it.
