For crop producers and commercial applicators who desire a smaller, lighter-weight and competitively priced self-propelled sprayer, John Deere adds the R4023 to its 4 Series Sprayer lineup.

The R4023, which replaces the 4630 model, features a 4.5L, 173 horsepower final tier 4 engine, new premium cab option, wide and narrow axle configurations, and the latest integrated technology to help apply crop care products in a timely, efficient manner.

According to a John Deere news release, the R4023 sprayer offers smaller size, maneuverability, and versatility that farmers and agricultural service providers need to more easily cover smaller, odd-shaped fields.

The sprayer features four-wheel hydrostatic drive; 600-gallon poly tank and 80-ft. booms that can fold to 60-ft. for tight conditions; durable, vibration-resistant C-Channel chassis frame with a suspension dampening Soft Shock option for optimal operator comfort and sprayer performance in rough terrain; and IF tire options which provide a larger footprint and less compaction.

Weighing in at 18,165 pounds, Deere says the sprayer is a good fit for cotton, corn, soybean, and small-grain producers, plus agricultural service providers wanting a smaller, versatile machine which is easier to transport on a trailer and store.
