Farm Press Daily subscribers will notice a new look when their daily e-newsletter arrives Monday.

The e-newsletter — which comes in four different versions depending on your region — is switching to a new format that will allow us to deliver more of the late-breaking news you’ve come to expect from Farm Press Daily.

“The Farm Press Dailies have developed a very loyal following since their introduction,” said Greg Frey, group vice president for Penton Ag Media. “We think our new look will help make the newsletter even more valuable to our readers.”

Farm Press Daily became the first daily agricultural e-newsletter when it was launched in 2002. As interest in the publication grew, Farm Press editors decided to split the Daily into four, distinct regional editions — Delta Farm Press Daily, Southeast Farm Press Daily, Southwest Farm Press Daily and Western Farm Press Daily.

“Readership has continued to grow since we introduced the regional dailies in 2004,” said Frey. “We’ve learned that our subscribers like having a daily source of agricultural information specifically targeted to their region.”

The new look features a two-column format with the top story of the day and other breaking news articles in the left column and regional or specialized stories in the right-hand column.

“Through our experience with other e-newsletters that we publish, we have found that this format is more appealing,” said Frey. “Readers say they like giving the news divided into categories that are easily accessible on the opening page.

“We hope that readers will let us know what they think about the new format in the weeks ahead.”

Farm Press, which also publishes the print editions of Delta Farm Press, Southeast Farm Press, Southwest Farm Press and Western Farm Press and the Delta Agricultural Digest, is a member of the Penton Agricultural Media Group. Other Penton Ag Media titles include: BEEF, Corn and Soybean Digest, Farm Industry News, Hay and Forage Grower and National Hog Farmer.
