Harvesting crops has come a long way since the International Harvester 64 pull-type combine with a canvas continuous belt to feed crop into the machine, and the John Deere 40 self-propelled combine.

Companies continue to amaze with the technology they pack into combines. And the companies that produce grain carts continue to refine their offerings to be more user-friendly as well.

Fendt introduced an all-new model in August with the Fendt Ideal 10/10T introductions. The Fendt Ideal made its debut two years ago in North America. Now, the company brings out a bigger model, both in a wheeled version, the Ideal 10, and a track version, the Ideal 10T.

John Deere upped the production capacity per hour of its machines by introducing the X9 series combines in September. The Deere X9 1100 model can harvest up to 7,200 bushels of corn per hour in good conditions. These combines from both companies feature lots of improvements besides just offering more size and capacity. Check them out for yourselves.

Case IH and Claas both made significant improvements in their 2021 models. Both can be ordered with options that allow each machine to determine proper settings automatically once you set certain parameters, including for grain quality.
