ASV Holdings Inc. has added a new compact track loader to its lineup. The new VT-70 High Output loader features “unmatched serviceability, high speed and a vertical lift loader linkage for lift, carry and load tasks,” according to the company.

“Fitting more power into our machines is a never-ending mission at ASV. The impressively powerful VT-70 High Output will allow our customers to complete tough jobs quickly and efficiently,” according to Justin Rupar, ASV Holdings Inc. vice president of sales and marketing.

A 74.3 hp Deutz 2.2 diesel engine generates 207-foot pounds of torque. High torque allows for maximum performance, high speeds and minimal engine bog down in all applications. Drive motors transfer the torque to ASV’s patented internal-drive sprockets. Internal rollers reduce friction loss in the undercarriage, resulting in maximum power being transferred to the track regardless of drive speed.

The VT-70’s engine meets Environmental Production Agency’s Tier 4 Final emission standards. It uses a DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst) only exhaust after treatment system. No Diesel Particulate Filters or Selective Catalytic Reduction catalysts are needed. DOC-only eliminates all downtime risks, maintenance and the additional costs associated with regeneration and diesel exhaust fluid, Rupar says.

The standard hydraulic system on the loader produces 3,300 psi of auxiliary pressure and a 22.2-gallon per minute flow. The system features large line sizes, hydraulic coolers and direct-drive pumps which transfers more flow and pressure directly to the attachment. An optional 27.4-gpm high-flow system is available

Rated operating capacity is 2,328 pounds. The tipping load is 6,650 pounds.

The machine is 65.6 inches wide and has a 126.5-inch lift height. Travel speeds are as high as 11 mph. A self-leveling system allows attachments to stay at a set position while lifting.

The VT-70 High Output has ASV’s patented Posi-Track undercarriage. All of the wheels are exposed in the undercarriage, which allows material to spill out. This reduces the risk of abrasive material getting trapped and wearing away at components. It has flexible all-rubber tracks with internal positive drive sprockets. The 15-inch wide tracks have 12 contact points per track and a ground pressure of 4.6 psi. Optional 16.5-inch-wide extreme terrain tracks lower the machine’s ground pressure to 4.2 psi. A smooth turf track is also available.

Easy to service

The VT-70 High Output has a number of features that make it easier to maintain than other brands, including:

  • Swing-out radiator, top hood and side doors. The machine’s cooler swings out with the door, allowing total access for cleaning.

  • A direct-drive pump, which eliminates the labor-intensive belt servicing that comes with belt-driven pumps.

  • Drain plugs on all service items. Mechanics can easily reach the plugs without removing the tracks. * Spin-on, frame-mounted filters rather than hose-clamp mounted filters.

  • Grease Zerk fittings located on the ends of all pins, rather than on the shaft.

Comfort

ASV’s patented Posi-Track undercarriage contributes to operator comfort. The two independent torsion axles on each undercarriage allows for a smooth ride over every type of terrain.

ASV designed the cab door to allow easier entry and exit and to increase visibility from the cab.

Ride control is available to dampen bucket bouncing, which limits material loss and improves operator comfort. An optional bucket positioning system keeps the bucket level while lifting. A suspended air ride seat contributes to additional operator comfort and a rearview camera and monitor boosts safety and visibility.
