AGCO Gleaner introduces new combine line-up

AGCO Gleaner combine customers can now choose from either axial- rotor or transverse-rotor rotary combines with the introduction of the high capacity G A65 and A75 models with 300 bushel grain bins.

The new Class VI A65 and Class VII A75 combines join the proven and newly enhanced R65 and R75 transverse-rotor combines.

“The Models R65 and R75 — the classic, transverse-rotor foundation of the Gleaner brand — go forward with the very latest in new and improved harvesting technology,” says Kevin Bien, general marketing manager, AGCO Gleaner. “From the header at the front, to the tires on the rear, everywhere you look you will find an improved and more advanced R5 Series from Gleaner.”

“The new A5 Series that includes the A65 and A75, along with our new Class VIII A85, offer customers who prefer axial rotor technology the opportunity to get it and the benefits of our world-class Total Quality Assurance Center,” Bien said. “With the opening of the center this past year, the Gleaner combine reputation for quality workmanship has moved to an even higher level. Now that same high quality can be found in Gleaner A5 Series axial rotor combines.”

The new combines are powered by Tier III approved, AGCO 84CTA common rail engines. The 300 hp A65 has a power bulge of 327 hp and an unloading boost of 330 hp. The A75 is rated at 350 hp with a power bulge of 375 hp and an unloading boost of 380 hp. The new engines offer reduced emissions, increased power density and torque level and fuel economy. They also respond faster to throttle change, run quieter and cold start easier.

The axial rotor “controlled feeding and threshing system” rotor receives a constant feed of crop material throughout every 360 degree revolution. Constant and uniform airflow across the sieves continues the high quality threshing process as the grain cascades from pan to pan.

The transverse-rotor R65 and R75 are reEven Gleaner tire offerings are industry leaders. Gleaner is the first to offer advanced, new MegaXBib tire technology from Michelin.

With five different headers to choose from, including eight different sizes and row widths of corn header alone, crop producers can select the header right for their operation. Offerings include the 12-row corn header with 20-, 22- and 30-inch row widths and 13- and 15-foot pickup headers with either a 14-ft. or 16-foot Swathmaster or rake-type attachment.

Other styles include the 25-, 30- and 36-foot draper headers, 25-, 30- and 35-foot cutting width rigid headers and a selection of 20-, 25-, 30-foot and 35-foot flex headers.

“With these changes, the R65 and R75 are even more efficient and more reliable,” says Bien. “With the R65, R75, A65 and A75, crop producers can pick the rotary combine with headers they prefer, knowing they are getting the best of either technology in the Gleaner they prefer.”
