J.W. Speaker’s new Model 60 portable LED scene light transforms from a hand-held scene light to a tripod-based stationary scene light to suit a wide range of lighting needs. The suggested retail price of the light is $2,400. The light incorporates a bank of 30 high-intensity LEDs to deliver 3,000 raw lumens of bright, white light that is gentle on the human eye. The Model 60 features a range of settings that includes both high and low light output as well as a flash mode for emergency situations. An integrated filter in the light head can be used to convert the beam into a soft widespread beam for general-purpose work. The filter is applied by turning a knob on the side of the unit.

Many of the Model 60 components stow away inside the cavity of the light, making it compact. The tripod stabilizer legs fold out from the sides of the base and enable the light to be used in windy conditions. The rotating light head sits atop a variable-height mast, which extends up to a maximum of 6 ft. through reinforced fiberglass poles stored in the base. The unit comes standard with an integrated charging port for on-board vehicle or outlet-based recharging. The Model 60 also features a durable outer housing and drop-resistant internal steel chassis.

This light runs on internal batteries for up to 8 hrs. on full power, whereas it can last for more than 240 hrs. of continuous use in sign mode. Recharging time is 4 hrs. using the built-in 12-24v vehicle charger, or 6 hrs. using the optional 120-240v AC charging unit. The Model 60 carries a 2-yr. limited warranty and comes in two configurations: standard or remote-control-enabled. The remote control version allows the operator to relay the remote control signal from one unit to the next to cover long distances.
