SMALL FARMS: The 2020 Mid-Ohio Small Farm Conference is set for March 14, in Ovalwood Hall on the campus of Ohio State University at Mansfield.

Mid-Ohio Small Farm Conference set for March 14

The registration deadline is March 6.

Are you a rural landowner or small farm operator looking for ideas to generate some additional revenue from your land? Do you already have a small farm operation but need some help to increase the productivity of that operation? If you answered yes to these questions, the small-farm conference may be just what you need.

Besides the opportunity to learn from presenters about specific small farm topics, attending a small farm conference allows participants to meet and swap experience and stories with other small-farm owners. The trade show includes vendors and exhibits that may be the answer to questions you have, or that may provide resources and products that match small-farm enterprise needs.

The 2020 Mid-Ohio Small Farm Conference is set for March 14 in Ovalwood Hall on the campus of Ohio State University at Mansfield, 1760 University Drive, Mansfield.

More than 30 conference topics

Conference registration opens at 8 a.m. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes by 3:30 p.m. The theme of the small-farm conference is “Sowing Seeds for Success.” Throughout the day, participants will choose from more than 30 topics and attend four different breakout sessions. General topic tracks that participants will choose from include horticulture, growing produce, natural resources, livestock, specialty crops, farm management, marketing and more.

The cost of the conference is $75 per person, including lunch and handout materials. The registration deadline is March 6.
