Holstein dairy cow named the 2022 supreme champion at World Dairy Expo

Oakfield Solom Footloose-ET stole the show at World Dairy Expo as she was named the 2022 supreme champion. Footloose is owned by Duckett Holsteins, Vierra Dairy, and Tim and Sharyn Abbott of Rudolph, Wis., and took home the Gregory Blaska Memorial Trophy. Her winning streak began with numerous wins in the International Holstein Show, topping the 5-Year-Old Cow Class and later being named senior champion female and grand champion female.

Taking the title of reserve supreme champion of World Dairy Expo was the grand champion female of the International Jersey Show, Rivendale VIP Eloise, owned by Vierra Dairy Farms of Hilmar, Calif.

Kingsway Alligator A Twix, owned by Velthuis Farms Ltd. of Osgoode, Ontario, Canada, was named the supreme champion heifer after claiming the junior champion title during the International Holstein Show the day before. A Twix took home the W. Terry Howard Memorial Trophy along with her honors. The reserve supreme champion heifer title went to the junior champion of the International Red and White Show, North Effect Wa Tatas-Red, owned by Chris and Jen Hill, and Tim and Sharyn Abbott of Thurmont, Md.

The supreme champion of the Junior Show honors were awarded to Homeridge T Annette, the grand champion of the International Junior Jersey Show. Annette is owned by Budjon, Vail, Cunningham, Powers and K&D Nickels of Lomira, Wis. Reserve supreme champion of the Junior Show honors were awarded to Northkill Creek Groovy, the grand champion of the International Junior Brown Swiss Show. Groovy is owned by Hannah and Mark Balthaser of Bernville, Pa.

The supreme champion heifer of the Junior Show was Rivendale Venue Colby Jack-ET, the junior champion of the International Junior Jersey Show. Colby Jack is owned by Trace Johnson and Sarah Fitzgerald of Poplar Grove, Ill. The reserve supreme champion heifer of the Junior Show was W-Brook Hottest-Red, the junior champion of the International Junior Red and White Show. Hottest is exhibited by K Hawvermale, N&C Spreng and H&T Hinz of Wooster, Ohio.
