Pest and Crop Management update set for Alpena area

MSU Extension is hosting a day-long program Feb. 2 to review latest research

Michigan State University Extension will offer a Pest and Crop Management Update seminar on Tuesday February 2 at Alpena Community College, Newport Center Room 106, located at 665 Johnson St.; Alpena. 

The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. and run until 4 p.m..  This seminar will be an opportunity for field crop producers and agribusiness professionals to prepare for the 2016 growing season by receiving the latest research results and recommendations for crop production and pest management from MSU specialists.  Participants may also claim five MDARD Pesticide Recertification Credits for application to the Private Core, Commercial Core or Field Crops categories.

The cost for attending this program is $25, including lunch and a copy of the 2016 MSU Weed Control Guide.  Pre-registration is encouraged for all participants.
