IN-SEASON ACTION: As the crop season progresses, what actions can you take. Three virtual sessions at FarmProgress365 will explore sprayer setup, crop disease management, and offer a look at markets and weather.Willie Vogt

Farmers are getting information to manage their operations in several ways from magazines to coffee shops, from farm shows to educational meetings. Farm Progress has long provided information to readers through a range of traditional media and events. That expands in 2021 with the creation of FarmProgress365.

"We created FPVX in 2020 as a response to the pandemic," says Don Tourte, SVP, Farm Progress. "And we learned that there are opportunities to broaden what we do in providing our audience information in new ways. With FarmProgress365 we're building on that."

While the live Farm Progress Show and Husker Harvest Days return in 2021, connecting with the Farm Progress audience more frequently is important. FarmProgress365 is an innovative platform where farmers and sponsor partners can interact and keep updated on key topics. The online tool is designed to work smoothly on desktop, tablet, or mobile phone, providing visitors information as they needed it wherever they are.

Special virtual events timed to the season – spraying, harvesting, planning, planting and more – will be a highlight of the platform. Beyond the scheduled events, additional programs will pop up throughout the year based on seasonal events, or breaking news impacting agriculture. And a key feature of any program on the platform is the live-in-real-time nature of the presentations.

The service kicks off with a look at sprayer technology, mid-season scouting tips and a market update June 30, July 1 and 2. In the inaugural program, Willie Vogt, editorial director, Farm Progress will explore the in-season opportunities farmers have for maximizing yield.

"What's exciting for us is that these three sessions feature an innovative mix of recorded and livestream content so visitors can interact with speakers in real-time," Vogt says. "We focus on providing our readers content in a variety of ways. We want to meet them where they are, and always have. Timing of these online sessions, and their real-time interactive capability offers added value."

Building on a legacy

FarmProgress365 is designed to augment the company's vibrant live experiences with added content and connectivity throughout the year. Says Tourte: "We know that farmers want to kick the tires and talk to the experts in person to maximize new tools for their farms. But we also know there are times throughout the year when they need a place to turn for timely information."

Built on a framework allowing interaction between farmers and sponsors, FarmProgress365 offers visitors an edge in managing their businesses. The effort builds on decades of content Farm Progress offers readers through its familiar brands, and as programming expands visitors will find a vibrant community exploring hot topics of agriculture.
