Dekalb is introducing 30 new corn products nationally next season. "These products have been tested extensively under local conditions, demonstrating consistent performance, including uniform emergence, strong roots and stalks, and excellent plant health," according to Jared Webb, Dekalb product manager.

New standout products geared for South Dakota include one Dekalb Disease Shield product, DKC55-53RIB Brand Blend, as well as Dekalb DKC47-55RIB, DKC37-50RIB and DKC42-05RIB Brand Blends.

Dekalb Disease Shield corn combines high-yield potential with advanced protection against the top five yield-robbing corn diseases — anthracnose stalk rot, Goss's wilt, gray leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight and, in limited geographies, southern rust.

"Farmers are seeing the difference Dekalb Disease Shield makes with more plant staygreen and late-season plant health, which contribute to higher yield potential and improved late-season standability and harvestability," Webb says.

Thirty-four new Asgrow Roundup Ready 2 Xtend soybean products are being introduced nationally for 2019. Tyler Uhe, Asgrow product manager, says this new class has shown an average yield advantage of nearly 2.7 bushels per acre over competitor products. "These new products provide improved standability as well as enhanced white mold and Iron Deficiency Chlorosis tolerance with higher yield potential," he says.

New Asgrow Roundup Ready 2 Xtend products developed for South Dakota and North Dakota include AG05X9, AG09X9, AG15X9, AG24X9 Brand.

"Ninety-seven percent of farmers nationally say they are satisfied with the control they experienced with the Roundup Ready Xtend Crop System. We've made a lot of progress this season and heard very positive farmer feedback," he says.
