The 2016 Row Crop Short Course will begin on the morning of Monday, Dec. 5, with a herbicide resistance listening session. This session will provide those in attendance a chance to voice how herbicide resistance has changed their business. The herbicide resistance listening session is part of a nationwide effort to gain insight into herbicide resistance and present that information to governing bodies such as the EPA.
Monday afternoon continues with entomological presentations.
Other topics at the 2016 Row Crop Course will include: importance of spray nozzle selection, weed resistance, fertility issues in crop production, and management of key insect pests in multiple cropping systems.
Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) continuing education units (CEU) will be available.
Lunch will be provided each day of the Short Course. Additionally, a social mixer and dinner will be held on the evening of Dec. 5 at the Cotton Mill Conference Center. A social event and steak/shrimp dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at the Cotton Mill Conference Center on Dec. 6. Charlie Williams Catering will be preparing all meals in 2016. All meals are provided free of charge if you pre-register prior to Nov. 28.
