New Dekalb corn and Asgrow soybean products for 2020 feature exclusive genetics, industry-leading trait technologies and strong agronomics to deliver consistent performance and high yield potential.

In a news release, Dekalb introduced 28 new products for next season. Specific to Minnesota, new products include DKC52-34RIB, DKC52-35RIB, DKC53-27RIB, DKC54-64RIB and DKC54-65RIB brand blends.

“Dekalb corn products have proven their reliability season after season, through high yield numbers across a variety of soils and conditions,” said Jeremy Lake, Dekalb product development manager. “We’re excited about the performance we have seen with our 2020 class, including products developed for Minnesota farmers.”

Improved disease control, yield

For 2020, all new Dekalb products and additional top performers seamlessly offer Acceleron Seed Applied ELITE with enhanced disease control. This allows early- to midseason disease control without additional cost to farmers.

Also new for 2020 are four new Dekalb Disease Shield products, bringing the total to 16 products in the 93- to 120-day geographies. Dekalb Disease Shield provides enhanced protection against the top five yield-robbing corn diseases — anthracnose stalk rot, Goss’s wilt, gray leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight and southern rust.

Twenty-six new Asgrow Roundup Ready 2 Xtend soybean products are being offered for planting next season. New products for Minnesota include the AG08X0, AG14X0, AG16X0, AG18X0 and AG19X0 brands, which offer maximum yield potential and strong agronomics to promote late-season intactness.

“Farmers can also benefit from the flexible weed control of the Roundup Ready Xtend Crop System, which proved especially beneficial this season — with the wet spring and heavy weed pressure experienced in many areas,” said Tyler Uhe, Asgrow product manager
