Six fire and rescue departments in North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin will receive grain bin entrapment rescue equipment from AgCountry Farm Credit Services. Included in the rescue equipment is a 10-panel system, slide hammer and other accessories designed by rescuers specifically for grain bin entrapments.

The selection of the fire and rescue department to receive the equipment was based on current department resources, geographic area served and other grain bin rescue equipment in the area.

AgCountry, headquartered in Fargo, N.D., started its Grain Bin Rescue Program in 2017 to help support rural communities and promote farm safety.

AgCountry is a locally-governed lending institution that provides credit and financial services to more than 18,000 farmers and ranchers in western Minnesota, eastern North Dakota and central Wisconsin. It also provides agribusiness loans and leases nationwide.

AgCountry is a part of the Farm Credit System.
