Soybean conditions gained a point this week in the good/excellent categories.

The USDA report showed corn conditions remained strong this week and soybean conditions increased by a point. 

Corn

The USDA report showed 68% of the corn in good/excellent condition.There was no movement from last week.

Here are the good/excellent conditions in the top five corn producing states: Iowa (73%), Illinois (76%), Nebraska (83%), Minnesota (75%), Kansas (46%).

Soybean conditions

The USDA reported 66% of the soybean crop in good/excellent condition. That's up a point from last week's 65%.

This week, here are the good/excellent conditions in the top five soybean producing states: Illinois (75%), Iowa (70%), Minnesota (72%), Nebraska (81%), North Dakota (48%).

 Corn dough

The USDA reported 92% of the corn crop is in the dough stage. That's up from the four-year average of 84%.

Corn dented

The USDA report showed 61% of the corn crop is in the dented stage. That's up from the four-year average of 42%.

Corn maturity

The USDA report shows 10% of the corn crop as being mature. That's up from the four-year average of 5%.

Soybeans setting pods

The USDA report shows 95% of the soybean crop planted this year is setting pods. That's up five points (90%) from the four-year average.

Soybeans dropping leaves

According to this week's USDA report, 7% of the nation's soybeans planted are dropping their leaves. That's up from the four-year average of 4%.
