Valent U.S.A. has been granted the federal and California registrations for the company's new Intuity fungicide for use in grapes and strawberries.

Intuity is registered for botrytis control and powdery mildew suppression in grapes.

The company says Intuity is a strobilurin (Qol) fungicide developed for the U.S. market with a unique disease spectrum. Unlike some strobilurin chemistries, Intuity delivers preventive activity against botrytis.

Intuity delivers residual protection of botrytis bunch rot in grapes and botrytis gray mold in strawberries. The fungicide strengthens powdery mildew management programs by providing suppression on bunches and leaves.
Like other strobilurin fungicides, it interferes with energy production in fungal cells. This reduces fungal growth and sporulation. Because Intuity has both translaminar and locally systemic activity, it penetrates the leaf tissue for optimal disease management.

Intuity is a member of FRAC Group 11, and best used as a preventative in a rotation program with non-FRAC 11 fungicides.

The herbicide is also registered in Florida, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and other states. New York registration is pending, as are additional labeled crops. The product is not registered in Arizona.
