The University of Arizona (UA) Cooperative Extension will conduct four ‘tent talks’ for Central Arizona cotton growers in June.

Each meeting will highlight early and in-season management of cotton, plus updates on the field crops integrated pest management program in Central Arizona.

The speakers will include the UA’s Pedro Andrade, Paul Brown, Peter Ellsworth, Shawna Loper, Ed Martin, Bill McCloskey, Ayman Mostafa, Randy Norton, Ron Rayner, and Sam Wang.

Tent talk locations:

  • June 21 - Le Smith Farms at the corner of E. Bella Vista Road and North Quail Run Lane in San Tan, Ariz. (Pinal County)

  • June 27 - Maricopa Agricultural Center farm at 37860 W. Smith-Enke Road in Maricopa, Ariz. (Pinal County)

  • June 28- Rayner family’s A Tumbling T Ranches at 14929 W. Broadway Road in Goodyear, Ariz. (Maricopa County)

  • July 12 – Clark Farm on the southwest corner of Sanders and Grier roads in Marana, Ariz. (Pima County)

All tent talks run from 7:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Events are free of charge.

Applications for CEUs have been filed.
