Bt cotton has helped producers lower their insect control costs, but another pest – the tarnished plant bug – has moved in and taken up some of that slack. University entomologists have been conducting tests on materials currently labeled for plant bug control and found that more products are needed. Gus Lorenz of the University of Arkansas reported on that research at the Beltwide Cotton Conferences in Atlanta.
