A successful return for UT Cotton Tour

Following a one-year hiatus, visitors returned to the annual Cotton Tour at the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center.
After being cancelled in 2020 because of the pandemic, the UT Cotton Tour was back on track on September 1.

Approximately 100 people attended the University of Tennessee's annual Cotton Tour. Held on Sept. 1, the tour highlighted research activities on the West Tennessee Research and Education Center in Jackson, Tenn.

Various stations across the research facility focused on variety trials, disease updates, irrigation efficiency, pest control and weed problems.

Aaron Smith, assistant professor in Agricultural & Resource Economics and a crop marketing specialist, wrapped up the presentations with a mostly bullish cotton market outlook.
