O.A. Cleveland, professor emeritus at Mississippi State University, will be the featured speaker at the next Ag Market Network cotton market teleconference at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10. Also speaking will be the Network’s panel of cotton experts.
Dr. Cleveland is one of the best-known cotton marketing specialists in the world. In addition to covering the latest U.S.D.A. Crop Production and Supply & Demand reports, he will discuss why he feels negative about the cotton market.
That’s a turnaround for Dr. Cleveland, who until recently has been considered one of the more bullish experts on Intercontinental Exchange or ICE cotton futures. Callers into the conference will hear what’s changed in Cleveland’s opinion and what cotton producers should do about those changes.
Also joining Cleveland will be the marketing panel, including Dr. John Robinson, professor and Extension specialist/cotton marketing at Texas A & M University, H.W. “Kip” Butts, senior cotton analyst and director of energy services with Informa Economics, Jarral Neeper, president, Calcot, Ltd. and Patrick McClatchy, executive director, Ag Market Network.
