It looks like we have a few more days to finish defoliating and opening bolls before a cold front moves in on Sunday.
The 10 day forecast does not show freezing temperatures with this period, but weather will be too cold for defoliants or boll openers to work well.
It is quite possible this is the last stretch of decent defoliation weather we will have before a frost does come.
I think it is best to go ahead and defoliate and open cotton as soon as possible.
Due to the time of the year, I would not spend money on regrowth control, but concentrate on boll opening and defoliation.
